Cosmetic Surgery

Making the choice to have a facial cosmetic procedure can be a very positive one.  Whether you are interested in addressing a specific facial feature or the effect of time, we work with you to determine if a cosmetic procedure is the right decision for you, and if so, the best method to achieve your goal.  For most people, pursuing a cosmetic procedure is not an attempt at changing who they are, but done to help them feel more confident about themselves.  Our aim is to guide you through your personal transformation with results that appear natural and maintain your sense of self while accentuating your best features.

A nose that fits your face

People with aesthetic and/or functional problems with their noses are typically good candidates for rhinoplasty. Suitable rhinoplasty candidates have oversized, wide or crooked noses, upturned or drooping nasal tips or nasal deformity.

Dr. Bhrany can take one of two approaches to rhinoplasty: open or closed. During an open rhinoplasty, he makes a small incision in the columella (the strip of skin separating the nostrils); during a closed rhinoplasty, he makes incisions within the nostrils.

In the first couple of days after surgery, it’s important to keep the head elevated at all times and avoid bending, heavy lifting or strenuous activities. Dr. Bhrany can prescribe pain medications to alleviate any discomfort.

Ideal Candidates for Rhinoplasty
  • Are in good health
  • Have realistic expectations about what the surgery can accomplish
  • Have a bump on the nasal bridge when viewed in profile
  • The nose appears too large for the face
  • The nose seems too wide when viewed from the front
  • The nasal tip droops or plunges downward
  • The tip is thickened or enlarged
